My dog is not a yo-yo...............

But evidentally my kids seemed to think she was...and because of their lack of thinking...I have no voice still as of today...

Friday night was supposed to be a relaxing night for me and Mike...it was Sci Fi night and we watch the Sci Fi channel (Stargate nuts we are) Mike had asked Glen to take Asha out...Asha, for those that don't remember is a small Shih Tzu, and most know that she is my little buddy....So needless to say I was startled to have Wesley come into our room and laughingly tell us what Glen was up too....It appears he was wrapping the leash around her belly and flipping her over and over...I was also a little perplexed that Wesley was laughing as he told on his brother-but there's a reason for that...

Needless to stay I stormed outside, spotted Glen walking Asha up from the sidewalk...One look at my face and he knew he was in for it...immediately he started yelling "Wesley told me to do too!!!" over and over...I told him to march into the house...I saw Justin and asked what he saw...He confirmed that Glen was the one doing this to Asha and that Wesley was laughing about the whole thing and egging Glen on...

What schocked me about this whole incident was the lack of common sense in the two of them...They never once thought that this could serious hurt even kill Asha...Snap that leash just right and you snap her neck....First I dealt with Glen...Yes he got a spanking...and told to get his shower and go to bed, then I dealt with Wesley....Wesley tried to still deny any wrong doing...But I told him I knew different...I was shaking at this point...Asha was hiding from the two of them...she was scared shitless...that pretty much made me even more angry...I made Wesley get his shower and head to bed too...I know I scared the crap out of the two of them...they also have been banned from touching the animals in any way...during all the yelling...I lost my voice.....

Do I think they did this maliciously??? Heck no...for the most part they are really loving where animals are concerned....I really do think they left thier brains at the front door on this one...This is the second time I have had to deal with them about the dog...3 years ago when they first moved in, They adored Asha and one day I had both of them take her outside to go to the bathroom...5 minutes later I hear Asha yipping and the boys yelling...Glen had her front half and Wesley had her back half and they were having a good old tug of war...They got chewed out then too.... and banned from the animals that time too...

What really got me on this one was Wesley...he's going to be 11 this summer and I have no clue what he was thinking at the time...He's more responsible than that...

After I chewed them out, I checked on Asha....She about jumped into my arms, shaking...I calmed her down...checked her over good and she was none the worse for were....Mike later told the boys that he wouldn't be suprised if Asha didn't want to have anything to do with them anymore...snapped at them even...and they would deserve it...I was glad for that...He backed me up 100% about everything...I know Mike worries about me with the boys...he knows they both are high maintenace kids and he wonders if I ever think about what I got my self into...He doesn't need to worry...I thought of all that along time ago....I love him and yes...even thought they can be butt heads...I love those boys too...

All in all...I highly doubt they will be trying anything like that ever again....I do think they have learned their lesson....but it will still be a while before I allow them to touch the animals...I think that is the hardest on them as they love to play with them...Oh well...that's too bad...

Kids do things like that without even thinking ... I think that they would do it to each other if they figured out a way ... LOL

Sorry your baby is so shaken up ... my baby would have bit and hard ... *sigh*

Goodness. I would have done the same thing. To the boys, not the dog.
My mom has a tiny little Yorkie and I feel so protective of her I'd literally maim anyone if they did something that could deliberately hurt them. It's one thing to pick on someone your own size, it's a totally different thing to do something to a small, defensless animal that can't speak for itself.
Yeah, I'm a little passionate about that. ;)
