In a Family...You share love......And germs.....

Yup.....I have the crude (as it's called down here) And my wonderful son Glen gave it to me....

But before I go there....I have to say that I am an Aunt again X 2......Yup my sister Julie had her Babies...They came into this world on November 23 at 1:45pm....I welcome Ashley Ann (5 lbs...1oz) and Adam Christopher (6lbs..15 oz) Adam had to spend sometime in ICU as he had fluid in his lungs but is expected to make a full recovery....Julie said they are both as darling as they can be! Nathan (The older 2 yr old brother-is very excited about the additions to the family) The only bad thing about the whole thing was Julie had to have a C-Section and poor Dror (Her hubby) could only be there for the births...Nathan apparently came down with a cold and they won't let him in...so Dror had to stay home with him...But all is well with the family!

Now back to the crude stuff....Our Thanksgiving was wonderful as we went over to Mike's brothers house to eat....His brother is very cool and we all had a wonderful time....Stayed home Friday and cleaned house so nothing major there....But Saturday poor Glen woke up with a headache....Hand to the forehead told me it was more than a headache and out came the thermometer...101.9 it read...Gave him some Tylenol and had him set down on the couch with a pillow and blanket and I sat right next to him...as the day progress the headache/fever turned worse and into a nasty cough and congestion...Switched back and forth from Motrin to Tylenol to combat the temperature that now was up to 102.2....He spent a very fitful night and Mike and I decided to take him into the pediatrician....It's wonderful that we have one that actually has an office open on Saturday and Sunday....Off we went...Bronchitis was the diagnosis...So they put him on an antibiotic....by Sunday night his fever finally went away....I sat on the couch with him all day that day too...We watched the Sci Fi channel all day....Mike stayed home with him Monday....Glen finally was perking up....That's when I noticed that I wasn't feeling so hot...and by today.....I feel like a semi has run over me more than a few times....OH well....We're just hoping the Wesley and Hayley don't come down with it...Glen is really on the upside now so that's good....Mike has a camping trip this weekend with the boys...plus thier cousin is coming down from Orlando to go with them and It would really suck if we had to cancel....They have so been looking forward to this.....

Well off to get myself a glass of cranberry juice and back to work.......

Take care all!

Congrats on the new little ones!! How exciting, and exhausting it must be with twins.

My mom has an herbal remedy she swears by and I know it sounds weird, but it seems to work really well for her for that type of stuff....Basil Tea.

Basil is a member of the Mint family, and like most other mints, is mainly used in medicine for it's digestive and anti-gas properties. Herbalists also recommend it for stomach cramps, vomiting, constipation, headaches, and anxiety.

making a pot of herbal tea is actually an easy, enjoyable thing to do. Bring cool water to a boil, and then rinse a non-metal container with some of the water. Metal containers can interfere with the purity of the tea. Add 2 tablespoons of fresh, or 1 tablespoon of dried herb (or crushed seed) to the pot for each cup of water, plus an extra 2 tablespoons of fresh or 1 tablespoon of dried "for the pot." (For iced tea, increase to 3 tablespoons of fresh and 2 tablespoons of dried herb to allow for watering down by melting ice).
