Just when things are going great.......
You have to go the ER......at 6:30am no less....
I was actually in a fantastic mood Monday night....helped Glen with his spelling...buzzed around the house cleaning...dismantled a dresser (Glen's old one-it had out grown it's usefullness) snuggled with my honey until we both fell asleep....
Then at 2pm the fire in my lower back woke me up out of a sound sleep...I mean it was literally on fire...I figured I would shift into a new position and try to get back to sleep but that didn't work...Finally at 3am...I decided to take a Darvocet...I have those for chronic knee pain...but I figured it may help....I knew it wasn't my spinal column and more than likely it was a pulled muscle...At any rate the Darvocet didn't touch it....Called off work and went to the ER where I work....Doc examined me and Yup....I sprained my lower back...Have no clue exactly how...but that's what they said...Okay great....they are going to give me Percocet...but they forgot to ask if I had eaten anything....Percocet and me on an empty tummy doesn't work well...Oh the pain in my back was gone only to be replaced by my head spinning like I had drank one to many...Michael grabbed something for me to you know what in...but thankfully the Nurse came in...ran out to get the Doctor...Having declared that "I didn't look good" they then gave me a shot of Phenergen to combat the nausea symptoms....Now since both tend to make you sleepy...I was pretty much out of it by the time Michael got me back home...But thankfully I was able to sleep the afternoon away in relative comfort....
Back's sore and hurting and I'd rather be standing than sitting down...but not as much as yesterday...Doc says that's going to take a few more days....but he told me to maintain my normal routine to work the muscles out...Michael keeps telling me to lay down...I'm doing too much....(I was putting in a load of laundry!) Ah but that's the way he is...If I have a headache-he's ordering me to bed....Gotta love that...
How's everyone else's day???????

Ever have a back injury before? If so, is it in the same spot? As a few my my P.T. therapists have told me "Once you hurt your back, it never goes back to the way it was before."
My day was one of those take on minute at a time. One minute everything is cool, the next minute the boy was having a fit over something stupid in his school work that he had to do. Blech! The little hatchet head is enough trouble right now, so he can just park the lip service somewhere else.
Other than that, went to to doctors for my weekly allergy shots, and had to bring Tool Man in for his updates. The grey monster has gained 6 pounds since he's been living here. Fat Cat! However, my vet was thrilled to so him as she's the one that did his hip surgery, ect... Tool was smoothered in kisses and hugs which he didn't really appreciate, but she did it anyway.
Take care of that back of yours and get better soon!
Stacy
