Job hunting sucks royally.....

I know...I know....I have only be actively at this a week...I applied at the courthouse like I wanted to...and while I passed all the tests (Typing...accounting) the application still has to go to all the managers and goes into a "pool" so....suffice to say it may be a while be fore I hear back...if I do...UGH!!!

Been putting applications in elsewere....I hate doing this at my age...I hope something comes thru soon!!!!

Other than that....just looking forward to when Manisa and Kairi get down here...2 more weeks to go!!!! YEAH!!!!

Country Vs. Rock at the Crossroads.....

I finally had one of my dreams come true....And finally got to watch it!!!!

As you all know I love both country music and rock...Well CMT has had this show on call "Crossroads" in which country artists sing with Rock artists...the one with Martina McBride sang with Pat Benetar sent chills up me...what an awesome show...But I had always loved to have seen my two Fav Rock bands do something like this...(Bon Jovi and Def Leppard)

Well I got my wish with Bon Jovi...they did a Crossroads with Sugarland....OH...MY...GOD....it was great!!!! It was pretty much like I expected it would be...To see Jon sing "Gotta be something more" (A Sugarland hit) and singing it well (but no country twang mind you!) All in all it was a great show!!! I love it

Now if we can only get Def Leppard to team up with country?? but WHO??? Tim Mcraw??? Trace Adkins??? Montgomery Gentry Brad Paisley??? (Oh I can see Joe singing "Alcohol") How about some up and comer's like Jason Aldean or Craig Morgan (I love "Red neck Yatch Club)

Okay.....Def Leppard and Travis Tritt...I'd would have died and gone to heaven if that show happened....

One last thing to Mention....I want to thank all of you guys for all your prayers, thoughts and wishes over the last week or so...Doug's family is doing okay...It will take time but they will get there...Doug came home but went back up for this week....His Mom is doing as well as can be expected but is coming around...

Thanks again for all your thoughts!!!! It really meant alot!

A bright light is going out......

It is time that I post about this as her time to leave us is drawing oh so very close...It was actually out of respect for KC that I really hadn't posted about this...

My ex husband Doug called me yesterday from the airport...His beloved sister Sandy has but only maybe days left...5 years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer...She battled it and it went into remission...Sadly it came back and spread...She again battled it with every thing she had...The strength of faith that she showed through out the whole ordeal totally amazed me...She was my Daughter Hayley's favorite Aunt...She would spend summers in Massachusetts with her Grandma, who only live about a mile from Sandy...Hayley would go over and help out with the daycare that Sandy ran out of her home...She would also hang out with Megan and Kelly...Sandy's daughter's with her Husband Jon...Kelly is in High School and Megan in College...Kelly has said that the hardest part about all this was not the knowing about her Mom dying...she knew she was going to a better place...it was all the pain and suffering that Kelly saw her mother bravely endure that was the hardest on them all...Sandy is a wonderful soul that I am truly glad to have known...

We knew back in August of last year that Sandy was terminal...we had hoped the chemo/radiation would give her more time...bravely she went in and out of the hospital...but finally the time came to stop the chemo...and enter hospice about 2 weeks ago...Doug was flying up this Thursday to be with her and say his goodbyes but he got the call yesterday that she had taken a drastic turn and they didn't know if she would make it thru the night...So he left yesterday...I am awaiting a phone call to let me know when it happens...Hayley is taking it hard...as can be expected...Just this past April,Doug lost his Father and Hayley her Granddaddy...now this...

My heart goes out to Doug and his Family...Please keep them in your prayers during this very difficult time...

Sandy left this world at 10:30am this morning...she was surrounded by all her loved ones.....

Her spirit now runs with the winds to be an inspiration to those of us whose lives she touched.....

We love you Sandy......you will be missed and cherished forever....

Just another Day of Daily Grind.....

Couple that with a lousy Chest/Head cold...I'm doing just great! (note the sarcasm) Got caught up on all the laundry...yeah...Just resting and taking it easy today...Worked on the budget...another oh yeah...Spent about an hour trying to figure out why Manisa's site won't come up on here...I checked how I put it in the template and it should come up...Oh well..I'll give it another go this weekend...I am so glad that we exchanged our web sites...I hadn't realized that she had a webblog!!!

So let me formally Welcome Manisa to my site...Love you Honi!!!! Love you too Kairi!!!!!

I really hope it works out that Manisa is here for Halloween....Of course Rhonda...I'll happily post photos....Um once I figure that function out!!! hahahaha...

Well....I had better get going....I have some cleaning to do....UGH!!!

Back home......

While I miss Kairi and Manisa something fierce...I am glad to be home and in my own bed...I had a great time while I was up there...Kairi is just totally amazing! I think I did a not so good thing by getting Kairi hooked on Mint Chocolate Chip Ice cream!! (just little bits) She loved it!!!!! hahaha...Grandma's must do those things don't ya know...

Anyhoo...Took Kairi to the beach on Friday...She loves the water...Loves the sand too as Manisa was forever getting it out of her little hands!!! She is at that wonderful stage where she wants to do so much but she's trying faster than her body can go....She's a baby on the go that one...She gets soooooo frustrated when she can't do what she wants too but she tries really hard!!!

Manisa and I talked and I think we've decided that she's coming down in October...Since her Mom will have a car for her to use...there's no need for her to bring her's...So it will save money in the long run since I won't have to fly up and drive down with her and Kairi...She's not sure if she's flying or taking Amtrak...Think flying would be better...Less time for Kairi to be cooped up...She loves the idea of Kairi trick or treating with us.....That would be soooo wonderful...I really hope that it does work out...It should...At any rate...We spent the rest of the time toodling around New Bern (Very wonderful old houses to look at....big wrap around porches!! It's was really nice) We bought a bookcase and put it together so Patrick had a place for all his books...Now Manisa just needs to figure out what to do with the rest of his stuff!! hahaha...Sorry Honi...Couldn't resist!!....

I can't wait until she and Kairi come down...about 5 more weeks and counting!!!!

Well I am here......YEAH!!!!

Hi Guys!!!!!

Made it here safe and sound....I ended up driving straight here as I made good time...when I go back I will have to take 2 days as I am leaving around 12 ish...KAIRI is sooooo adorable!!!! OMG she's just the sweetest baby!!!!! She has grown so much!!! Miss my Family but Mike assures me that all is well...After Manisa and I unloaded my Dodge (For which I sadly can say while it ran great...the seats sucked big time...my back killed me!!!!) we headed to the Marine Corp base to get gas ($1 Cheaper then every place else) and then to the commisary for groceries...The base is pretty neat...I was able to see the hanger where Patrick fixes the C-130's he works on...very impressive...the base itself was pretty cool...Heck...they even have thier own bowling ally!!!!!

Trying to figure out something...If you look on my blog at my list of other sites I go to...I tried to add Manisa's blog...She's has a Xanga web blog but for some reason...it will not come up...Not sure what I am doing wrong here...any suggestion's oh you so much more computer savvy people then I am????

Anyhoo...Gotta run....Almost time to hit the hay....Heading to the beach tomorrow...
